Synopsis:
In the Chicago suburbs, a community of passionate folks find connection and escape on the gravel courts of a local bocce league.
Anthony Ciancio is a Chicago-based filmmaker and recent graduate of DePaul University’s MFA program in Film and Television Directing. His documentary 'Roger J. Carter: Unapologetic' received the Jury Award at DePaul’s Premiere Film Festival in 2022 and reflects his interest in character-driven storytelling. His latest documentary, 'How We Roll,' is currently on the festival circuit, and his next short documentary, 'Meet The Pigs,' is in post-production alongside several narrative short projects.
Outside of independent filmmaking, Anthony works as a freelance videographer and photographer and directs the weekly podcast 'Cozy Conversations with The Sister Project.' A former electronic futures trader and full-time dad to a spirited three-year-old, he is drawn to genre-bending work that reflects the chaos and contradictions of the modern world. He ultimately aims to write and direct narrative features while continuing to explore opportunities in documentary.
