Mariemont Theatre by Cindependent

Welcome to Mariemont Theatre, an independent movie theatre in the heart of the Village of Mariemont, 20 minutes outside of Downtown Cincinnati.

In late 2025, the Village of Mariemont approached Cindependent to explore what long-term stewardship of the theatre could look like - how this historic cinema might be cared for thoughtfully, sustainably, and in a way that honors its role in the community.

For several months, Cindependent and community leaders worked together to listen, assess, and plan. An advisory group was formed to help guide this process, bringing together local civic and cultural voices with a shared commitment to the theatre’s future.

Mariemont Theatre by Cindependent is a proud member of Art House Convergence.

When the Mariemont Theatre temporary closed in February 2026, our community actively fought to rebuild its infrastructure and raise funds for new equipment.

On September 16, 2026, Cindependent held an opening gala celebration and officially reopened the doors of the Mariemont Theatre to the public.

We curate films both mainstream and independent, working with you to ensure the spirit of this century old theatre. Mariemonttheatre.org is the new website for showtimes and events specific to the Mariemont Theatre.
