Dev Thompson is a three-time award winning director, producer, and sound mixer from Cincinnati, Ohio. His work draws from personal experience, resilience, and the healing power of storytelling, creating films that explore identity, community, and human connection.

His short film Brown Boy (2024) received the Founder’s Award at the Cindependent Film Festival. His collaborative project 1+5+4 Vibrant earned Best Poetry Film at the Queercine International Film Festival (2025) in Ghent, Belgium, while 1+5+4 Distant Dysphoria received Best Experimental Film at the Appalachian Queer Film Festival (2025)
