Synopsis:
Bottom Feeder is an experimental thriller that takes place in a dream. Or, more like a nightmare. Bottom Feeders are the lowest form of humans or the lowest form of species at the bottom of the sea. Bottom Feeder takes a look at how we must appear to anything looking down at us or how we look inside the fish bowl just being watched. It's no mistake the main character's name is Pageant, a person who's constantly being watched. Shot on 16mm and filmed in a square 4x3 format, the black and white film aims to help heighten the dreamlike state.

Vito Trabucco an Italian filmmaker who grew up watching grotesque horror movies in his mother’s lap as a baby and doesn’t remember a time in his life that movies have not been a part of his life. He is an old soul and prefers movies from the 70s. He has a vast knowledge of film history that dates as far back as the silent film era. His influences include Cimino, Coppola and Ford. Trabucco has made numerous shorts, documentaries and features. Trabucco just completed a feature Britney Lost Her Phone, a film reflective of his creative and quirky take on the comedy in the life we live. Bottom Feeder is his experimental short shot on 16mm about a girl who feels she is being watched by something or someone bigger than her.
