Matinee Screening + All-Ages Animation Workshop
Cindependent Film Festival presents a special matinee screening of the beloved animated classic, The Iron Giant (1999). In this beautifully crafted adaptation of Ted Hughes’ Cold War fable, a giant alien robot (Vin Diesel) crash-lands near the small town of Rockwell, Maine, in 1957. When 9-year-old Hogarth discovers the robot, an unlikely friendship unfolds, one that tests courage, compassion, and what it truly means to be human. As a paranoid government agent hunts the creature, Hogarth and beatnik artist Dean McCoppin (Harry Connick Jr.) must fight to protect their misunderstood friend.
This screening is preceded by an all-ages animation workshop, perfect for anyone inspired to explore the art of bringing stories to life on screen.

Join us for Snowtime Cinema, an unforgettable holiday celebration benefiting the Cindependent Film Festival. Enjoy a cozy screening of Elf (2003), meet Santa & Crunchy & Bubs, and get into the festive spirit with a silent auction, snack bar, and a FREE ornament decorating station.
Wear your holiday jammies or ugly sweater and come early at 5:30 PM to decorate your ornament, snap photos, and bid in our silent auction before settling in for the 7:00 PM film.
