Welcome to Mariemont Theatre, an independent movie theatre in the heart of the Village of Mariemont, 20 minutes outside of Downtown Cincinnati. 

In late 2025, the Village of Mariemont approached Cindependent to explore what long-term stewardship of the theatre could look like - how this historic cinema might be cared for thoughtfully, sustainably, and in a way that honors its role in the community.

Mariemont Theatre by Cindependent is a proud member of Art House Convergence.

Over the past several months, Cindependent and community leaders have been working together to listen, assess, and plan. An advisory group was formed to help guide this process, bringing together local civic and cultural voices with a shared commitment to the theatre’s future.

Since Mariemont Theatre’s temporary closure in February 2026, our community has actively fought to rebuild its infrastructure and raise funds for new equipment. 

Although the theatre is temporarily closed, we are still hosting community events in the Village of Mariemont before and will continue to do so after the theatre’s reopening later in 2026.

Once the theatre reopens, we will continue to curate films both mainstream and independent, working with you to ensure the spirit of this century old theatre. Mariemonttheatre.org will become the new website for showtimes and events specific to Mariemont Theatre.
